Discussion: Liam (again)

Tooms and I were having a chat about fast finishers and named Liam and Andre. Not surprisingly they had the 1st and 2nd fastest finish splits respectively on both days, though Andre in both instances was just one second ahead of 3rd place but Liam had a blinder both times, more so yesterday being 14 seconds (24% faster) over Andre on what I can only assume was a relatively short finish.

It was 180m I think, so only 30m less than ours but without the bush section. He did say he thought he might die going around the corner but slowing down wasn't an option.

I think I found the only section of that fence still standing to cross over (I was having trouble reading the map with only one eye by that point so didn't notice the two missing sections). It is definitely flat on the ground along various sections further west.

I need to teach Liam to speed up over the several last controls, that way he could win it for us at the relays.
