Wishing you much house-happiness! Congrats to you both.
Excellent news that you now own a house, but I'm sorry about the reflux. My grandfather, who had acid reflux, used to sleep with a stack of pillows, including a wedge one, so that he was not completely lying down. As it helped him, perhaps it'll help you.
Sorry about the reflux which is usually a function of the position of the baby. Does your doctor allow tablets such as Tums?
Fingers crossed the reflux seems to have been a one off - the little guy has definitely moved from his usual position, so maybe he was in transition that night! Hopefully it doesn't rear it's head too many times...
I had reflux the last couple months with my first (both were boys and huge, and the second was bigger than the first, but I only remember reflux with the first), and took Rolaids (when they were still in business, before the contamination scare a number of years ago). Tums are now my go-to for occasional heartburn.
Congrats on the house!
If you need help sleeping, my doc said unisom was ok, and a friend gave me the tip that half tablets might be enough (it was).
Hope the reflux gets better! Third trimester...exciting! Starts to feel a lot more real!
