In Purple Pen, under Event, Customize Appearance, you'll see the option to add "White outline around numbers". This option makes the map much more readable.

Geez that's a lot of extra climbing.
What happens? You go to the Optometrist and get a prescription.
Or to WalMart and buy a stronger pair of 'cheaters'.

At least there was a good route choice from 15 to 13!

Occasionally people find the little purple straight lines going between adjacent controls to be helpful, but when the vision deteriorates to the point where you can't distinguish between the three and the five, maybe it is also hard to pick out the little purple line segments at all! Bifocals or contacts or a separate magnifier iwill help a lot if you are just reaching an age where the eyes no longer have enough range of focus, but if you are developing cataracts, things get a little more complicated.
