LROC and RMOC are partnering to offer a weekend of advanced orienteering practice courses near Laramie, WY, in the Medicine Bow National Forest.

· Friday, 8/23 -- 4pm mass start at Location TBD.
· Saturday, 8/24 -- 10am mass start at East Pelican Bay.
· Sunday, 8/25 -- 10am mass start at Location TBD.

* The weekend's events will consist of practice courses for advanced-level orienteers (anyone able to complete a Brown, Green, Red, or Blue course).

* This will be a bare-bones event -- each course will be self-timed; results will not be recorded or published; and beginner instruction will not be offered.

* Pre-registration is REQUIRED by 10pm on Thursday, 8/22.

This weekend training thing could be contrived as well. As I write, I doubt there is a single orienteer anywhere in Wyoming, and if you think differently, then sing loud so we can hear youl

The question I have (if anyone is still reading): if we have marshmallows at some of the controls, can it still be considered "bare bones"?

Sometimes an alter ego takes over, or so it is rumored. Btw, mostly I speak the Laramie dialect nowadays, not so much the English. It is the cowboy way. Go Cowboys! And for everyone who is skipping their shower tonight, maybe it's smart--more dust could be coming your way soon.
