All the cyclist or walker has to do is duck at just the correct moment. Easier than some of the stupid "technical enhancements" added to MTB tracks at places like Forrest. ;-)

Yes just duck and you'll magically miss both of the poles also stuck one in each side of the path.

tRicky - miss both poles and duck at the right time - simples!

Like I said, if it was on the Forrest MTB trail it would be called "technical riding".

I saw a good one yesterday, a lightpole (with no powerlines attached) had been relocated from the verge into the road. The left turning lane has been temporarily closed as a result. I didn't stop long enough to see exactly why the pole was put there but it did seem a bit odd, was the lightpole really necessary at that location that it couldn't just go missing until they've finished the other work?

Drove down the same road today and there's now a street full of light poles in the tarmac. I don't really know what they're doing, can only assume they're going to narrow the road by moving the kerbs in but wouldn't you do the light poles afterwards?
