you notice any training effect from doing these yet?
it's only my second week, hard to tell. I think I'm going to get my butt handed to me at the velodrome Thu . . . by the 20-something hipsters. :) those racers are pretty my a 5 minute all out effort and I can only sustain about 1 minute all out now. My strategy is to recruit the other big body old guy to get on the front and control the pace till the end. it never works, but I can't sprint for 5 minutes. first race is a 7 lap scratch race which is about 5:15 at 45 sec per lap.
