Hi Riders, has anyone fitted a mapboard to the one piece Syncros Fraser carbon bars? https://www.syncros.com/au/en/product/syncros-fras...
As they have a flat profile, the round clamps on MIRY, ORIFIX, AUTOPILOT, AR51 and WINDCHILL boards are not suitable.

I haven't. But maybe some creative use of velcro straps would be useful here?

Solution 1 - get a different bar for MTBO - it's not like the aerodynamic profile is going to be much help in MTBO - the drag on the map is going to negate any gain. but I guess swapping them over would be a pain in the arse.

Solution 2: so long as the claps are big enough to reach around the bar you should be able to shape a small piece of wood or something to fill the gaps and make it stable

Solution 3: get some 'aluminium flat bar' from Bunnings and make your own clamp that fits the profile of your bars and can connect to the clamps of one of those boards - use old tube rubber as padding/protection

Hold it on with some of those magnets you're always carrying around.

Whoa, he's got magnets that stick to carbon? I could use some of those!

Also take a look at Nordenmark mtbo mapholders: http://nordenmark.com/

Their clamping setup will fit a non-round bar but it's not obvious if the screws are far enough apart to span the one you mentioned. If it doesn't it should be pretty easy to modify. If the stock clamp doesn't fit you might even be able to get the owner Sven Nordenmark to make you either a custom clamp or an adapter to fit the stock clamp. He's a pretty helpful guy in my experience.
