Funny story... my first Sprint Camp was done either on crutches, or in an orthopedic boot, or both. (Some of the forest sessions were impossible, though).

I suffered a grade 3 ankle sprain (high and low, inside and out, it was terrible), about 2 weeks before Sprint Camp, and I'd already committed to driving up Rex, who was flying into Seattle from Oakland.

So, it's possible to get a little sprint training in! Lemonade from lemons!

Wow, eep! That must have been tough. I remember walking some sprints in Oxford, recovering from a hamstring pull. But it's been awhile. May have to do some of the upcoming events I was planning on racing just walking, but that will be better than crutches at the least, really can't wait to ditch them!

As long as it doesn´t hurt or get worse even walking an easy course is reasonably pleasant - at least better than not getting out. This is what I did most of last year after my knee surgery and I actually enjoyed it.
Granted I didn´t have the added stress of qualifying for a national team...

I totally look forward to being able to walk around courses, hopefully soon!
