First time I ran with my new watch after Xmas. I was looking at it going: I must have run more than 6k, this is weird...

What's really weird is that it used to be set in kms and I didn't change it. Unless I rolled over in my sleep and the buttons got pressed.

Did it do some sort of update? Sometimes that resets stuff...

This happened to me too, and I think the problem was that my default units in the Garmin app on my phone was miles, and the app kept syncing with the watch, thereby overwriting my settings on my watch.

In the Garmin app you go to settings/user settings/unit of measure.
