Yours is an entertaining combination of the ups and downs of running, annoyances, pleasures, nature and killer physios. My only real life friend on AP has recently stopped logging so yours is my favourite now. Happy to contribute views for your happiness!
The other reason I love it is that I grew up and ran and orienteered in the areas you describe so it's a delightful trip back to childhood when I read of these places. Cheers! Helen
Aww...thanks :)
I do have a policy of trying not to say anything *too* negative on AP!
The entertainment value is partly provided by friends (and like you say, many of the people I originally joined AP to keep in touch with no longer log their training here - but I've made a bunch of new friends through AP) who invade and populate my log with sometimes an entire thread of hilarity while my back is turned. And orienteers are all compassionate people, although the comments on today's swimming thread possibly belie this...
Yes so many of the lovely local orienteers have dropped away from AP over the years, until my log became a very *private space that has turned into more of a diary with much less training and more personal stuff. I've found that writing the events of the day is good for my brain :)
*until I commented on your log and/or the swearing thread. A brief flood of views.
You leave your compassion where you leave your towel.
