There is a clash between "regular church" on Sundays and orienteering so it doesn't make sense to pretend to take an interest once a year.
I once suggested to the local club that we make an exception to the "third Sunday of the month" schedule for Easter. Blank stares.
There was a Canberra orienteer (Kevin Manning?) who became Bishop of Armidale (Anglican, I guess). Don't think we saw much of him after that.
I go every now and then (mainly to see my parent's friends and to keep up some traditions). The other parishioners are always pleased to see me and say 'isn't it great to have a young person here' (I'm 60!)
