Don't you have an annual rating over all orienterring competitions in England? I looked at britishorienteering.org.uk. I didn't find anything.
In Switzerland we have got one:

I don't agree with my ranking there ;-)

Mind you , 18 months ago i was ranked 3rd or 4th , & that was wrong as well!

There are some good names in that Swiss ranking list. I remember some good races with Oli Buholzer at the JK in the past (M35 in 2000 in particular).
I'd certainly be ranked a lot lower than 3rd in Switzerland. Not that my British ranking is right. As Phil says, the rankings are rubbish. All they do is give you a rough idea of who's any good.

Thanks for the informations.It's hard to be in the top 10 at a national race. The overall winner Daniel H. runs a speed of 3:30/k. Oli B. about 3:45/k. But it's cool to have strong and many competitors. My hihlights where a third place at a national race and the fifth place at the championships middle distance.
