The local sports monthly newspaper in the Albany, NY, area of the US, Adirondack Sports and Fitness, did a recent profile of EMPO member Frank Boscoe, who has done well at club events and also at many northeast Rogaines. It offers a favorable view of the sport and is longer and more detailed than some media coverage of our sport.

Speaking as an Australian, I fear Frank has a rose coloured glass view of orienteering in this country. I doubt its anywhere near as popular here as in Scandinavia. But hey, make the trip over anyway. There is some great terrain.

I suspect Frank's interpretation of 'orienteering' in Australia includes rogaining under that definition. For traditional orienteering scandinavia wins the popularity contest.
