Hi Phil
I also have the Poland Syndrome and felt tired and without energy for a long time. Since I changed my diet to vegan diet I feel better. Was there a connection between the Poland Syndrome and M.E./CFS or was it another cause? If it was another cause of the M.E./CFS syndrome, what was the cause and how were you cured?

Hi Marten - it was almost certainly another cause for the acute CFS/ME I had. (1998-2006). Virus/genetic disposition/stress / overwork / not able to relax. Age 33. (age 54 now)

I no longer have unexplained fatigue. Luckily.

How do you know I have Poland syndrome? I'm curious. Do you know my sister Helen in Switzerland (Geneva / CERN o-club). How did you find me here?

I still eat meat, by the way. But not in large amounts, as I then feel I am using all my energy to digest it. Moderation is my way. ....

My German language is terrible, sorry. :-)

Phil, it's the internet. You can't hide ;-)

Marten was at the Lakes 5 in the summer.
He's like you in that he's a far better runner than me. Luckily there are often other factors which affect the result in orienteering ;-)

True- I'm still wondering how Marten knows about the funny chest thing I've got, tho!

Judging by the Devil's punchbowl result, I am not actually much better at running than you! Neither of us made many errors ;-) & I was hitting the hills as hard as I could.

Thanks for your feedback.

Indeed, internet knows almost everything ;-)

I have seen in your AP log (right column at the end) that you have the Poland Syndrome.

How i found you:
2017 i was at the JK Trophy and on the result page where links to some social stuff like attackpoint. Besides I have seen you live at the last leg on the jk relay (M120), you ran in front of me (1-2 minutes), slighty faster than me. I like your AP log with interessting informations about racing stuff and so on. I am amazed that you still have competitions. In Switzerland, the last competition took place on 4 November. The new season does not start until the 1st of March.

@Chas: At Lake 5 I was a bit handicapped by a foot injury. Technically, it was rather easy. Nevertheless, I would not have reached your strong total time.

Hi Martin, were you at the Dolomites 5 days as well? I see you beat me on my best day, the final day, ha ha! I had a knee injury but ignored it for that last day, I was pleased. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1015656390...

Yes I remember the JK 2017, I started in 2nd and of course had no idea someone from Switzerland started one minute behind, I just ran hard & made almost no errors, and was startled to find you stayed about 1 minute behind me - very happy not to know.

Charlie is strong in the Lakes - he learned to orienteer there. I am orienteering all the time right now. Too many events! It's good. We should chat offline about Poland syndrome. Is your hand affected (Mine is not - I'm a guitarist!), and are you right side affected (I am). Thank you for writing in English. Phil https://www.facebook.com/phil.murray.712

Yes Charlie, judging by Marten's time on day 5 of the Dolomites 5 days (90% urban), he does run faster than you ;-)
