Still a pretty good time for tossing off a Wonder How Fast I can Go session. In a race, you would probably have dropped another minute off that
I believe I'm signed up for a santa 5k so I may get a second chance
Race experience counts for so much too. You said you haven't really run a 5000m race since two years ago. If this was a race situation you can probably drop something like 40sec to a minute off that. If you had done nothing different other than race 5 extra 5k races over the last two years you could probably drop another 30 sec just from experience running 5k races.
I predict 15:45 in a race. Good on ya for doing this on your own.
Thanks, I'll have to find a couple races to run next spring
I think running that time first weekend in December is very well done. However, don't forget which sport is your main sport. Running a 5000m through the terrain should perhaps be your next test run...
Hans and i have always had forest test loops to run over and over to gauge the real running fitness you need - forest running. we could show you the “cleveland rocks” loop as a starter
I think my next is actually "The world champs course", so perhaps even more relevant then the terrain run. Thanks, the cleveland rocks would also be good to see!
if you beat my PB on the World Champs course i’ll buy you a six pack of your fave beer.
If you beat my time Hammer will buy you another six pack.
What is the time to beat then?
I don't think so. I think you have been under 42 and my best time is about one minute slower.
yeah you are right because it was the only time in the DV that i ran under 7 min/km. 41:43 rings a bell
Doesn't sound too official to me, but I'll accept it
get under 45 first and then we can start worrying about official. Going under 50 on your first attempt will be difficult
