@Nev-Monster: I'm not sure about compartment syndrome. I don't have any swelling or bulging of the muscle at the spot or any weakness or numbness but I'll definitely ask the AT about it.

@Canadian: Basically, my tendon is traveling farther forward and close to the ankle bone than it's supposed to. Because of this and the lack of blood flow, the tendon as well as all the other blood vessels in the area have kind of gotten pushed up against the tibia as well making it even harder for blood to get in. Hmm, interesting. I'm afraid I can't provide any kind of insight but I did happen be reading it while lying on a physio table today. :) My physio mentioned something about the retinaculum likely being to blame... He also expressed that he was very very impressed with your time of 30:40 for an 8km xc course.
