Not helpful.

To soundproof the flat above, I'd need to evict their tenants, tear up the carpet & flooring, and then get the workmen in.

Can't somehow see the landlord agreeing to that.

Another 3-4am footsteps jobby last night.

Phil, you don't need to soundproof the flat above. Just soundproof your own bedroom.

Or talk to her, I do that sometimes. People are mostly unaware of this.

She's rather evasive & not chatty. Her French bf is not so bad, we used to yell at each other, but we've reached grudging respect now.... but she's a tricky one. Lives online, and at night.
