We're happy to announce that we have permission to run up, down and under the Park University campus on the Saturday sprint of Possum Trot weekend. Part of the course will go into the limestone caves (Parkville Commercial Underground). This portion is an urban sprint (with buildings and roads) but underground.

Lighting is variable, so you may want to wear a headlamp to read the map. Some of the floors are polished concrete, so no spikes will be allowed.

Here is a video of this underground space.

Is this the first underground O in the US? I know there have been other undergroud events around the world but I am not aware of any in the US.

There was a underground 5K run for a couple of years near Pittsburgh.
