Today's forecasts for Whitehorse: on yr.no, 17 with no rain until evening; from Environment Canada, 13 with showers from late morning. At 4pm it's currently 17.4 and no rain has fallen (and none looks like falling in the near future).

Not sure how the Canadians do their forecasting, but I'm guessing that they probably run a regional model covering southern Canada but it doesn't extend this far north, and for Yukon they're relying on global models?

Good to hear :)

I believe EC runs a high-res (2.5 km) regional model that covers most of Canada (including the Yukon), but not sure what they do in terms of additional post-processing before it reaches their website. For the Yukon we just use the deterministic run from ECMWF (~9 km) without any special post-processing.

We used to have an edge compared to other global providers since we were probably the only ones with access to hourly ECMWF output (instead of 6h). They used to not sell hourly data, but we've always had them since we needed them as boundaries for our regional runs. Alas, no edge no more.
