Quick q. For those of us running the Ochils 2000, what are the chances of getting water on the course? Thanks.

you cross a couple of streams at the bottom of the drop between Tarmangie & King's Seat that should have plenty of water, but that's about 50mins after the start
after that the course stays pretty high and is just wet from marshes, there's a couple of small streams after Ben Ever and one after Blairdennon but I don't know them well enough, although given recent rain they might be ok

Might have to dig out a camelback then. Thanks. Are you running it again?

Nope, heading to Tiree for the week. Good luck, don't get lost dropping down to Menstrie and save something for Dumyat.

Yeh, I thought I might have a dig online to see if there are any tips anywhere (i.e. your route last year)

There is a trod along the fence line north of Colnaur (by Menstrie Moss) all the way down through the trees to the Jerah track before Menstrie. If you stay high (head SE) right after Blairdenon Hill then you should pick it up.

I thought the route off Colsnaur was obvious from the Harvey's map but the 2 ahead got completely lost! Can cut the corners on the final zig zags if you know where to look
