Hey!

I saw your post in the DVOA forum. I don't have a username. So I can't access it. Yes, I'm still planning on designing the advanced level trainings and setting courses for the Sunday event.

I was thinking of shaking it up a bit with middle distance courses for orange and up. What do you think? Will I be burned at the stake for heresy?

Were you going to also set the night-o?

I think that middle distance flavored courses are okay and courses a little shorter than normal are okay (in fact desirable since many people are totally burned out by Sunday), but I don't think straight-up middle distance Brown, Green, Red and Blue courses would be appreciated by many people. Remote starts are also a problem and good middle distance courses would sort of require that. So I would say a couple longer legs to get people from somewhere in the camp area to the fun stuff, then a middle section that is very much a middle, and then some longer legs to get people back to the camp would work really well.

Oh, and keep up being smart about your training. Spending these weeks in Latvia will give you a really good base for WOC but not if you injure yourself!

Thanks. I'll see what I can make out of that. Do you know if the camp north of Daddy Allen is off-limits to courses?

I'm certainly trying to be smart. It's better to arrive healthy and undertrained than injured and at your peak.

There is usually another group in the other camp so best to stay out of it.

Night-o?

Greg, your login would first letter of your first name plus last name, all lower case. If you never been connected, you should use reset password option. Let me know if you have problems, I may be able to help.

Thanks, Vadim. I'll look into that.

I don't think I signed up for the night-o, Sandy. Just the advanced courses and the Sunday courses. Does the night-o need doing also?

I don't know if they have a night-o course setter or not, but I suspect not.

Even if you don't set the courses, it's always a good idea if the night-o and Sunday course setters coordinate though so they don't use the same features. I remember many a time getting to a feature and finding three streamers - one for night-o, one for training and one for Sunday.
