Golden Horseshoe Orienteering will host four adventure runs in 2008.

February 23: Snowshoe Raid 3 hour (teams of 2)
April 12: Giant's Rib Raid 10K and 25K (teams of 3)
June 8: Navstock Raid 6 hour (teams of 2)
Nov. 9: Raid the Hammer 10K and 25K (teams of 3)
The 4 seasons of adventure running: snow, mud, sweat and tears.

The series kicks off in late February with the 3-hour (teams of 2) snowshoe raid. Course planner and race director is Bob Miller - Canada's top adventure racer. Registration is now open. (makes a great gift for
the holiday season).

And don't forget rock. Though the terrain in play for the 2008 GRR regretably does not allow for a reprise of Hans' Thomas the Tank Engine stage, a Bob the Builder stage is in the works....

I'm not sure how they relate to orienteering but my kids love both Thomas and Bob. Now, Dora.... Anyone who's ever watched Dora the Explorer knows she's all about orienteering. My wife actually mimics the Dora show format when teaching the kids how to navigate!
