Not as much variation between winter and non-winter temperatures in the northern North Island as there is in lamb-producing areas of Australia. The conditions we had over the weekend could quite plausibly have happened at any time between April and November.
Auckland's coldest weather is also typically quite dry (the central North Island creates a rainshadow in southerlies).
Autumn, rather than spring, is lambing season in the Adelaide Hills.
Saw young lambs in the paddocks near Denmark this morning. Good job they have woolly coats as freezing temperature in the South of WA at the moment
Correct, Bridgetown and Boyup Brook have overnight forecasts of -1 and 0 respectively although Albany is a rather balmy 5 in comparison so not quite at freezing temperature just yet.
Frost on the ground at camp Candy Manjimup!
