This year, we're using three brand new maps, as well as some oldie but goodies. As with previous years, the morning activities will be focused training exercises, and the afternoon will feature a sprint race. We provide lunch to all Sprint Campers, from interesting and delicious local eateries, and lots of snacks.
Also new this year, we have three categories of Sprint Camping:
Boston Sprint Camp (Friday - Sunday, $99)
Sprint Camp Lite (Saturday-Sunday, $75)
Sprint Camp Wannabe (Sunday only, $40)
Hopefully this helps you busy folks fit us into your plans!
We're posting updates on our Facebook page
(give it a like to get the notifications!), but here is a more detailed schedule.
Friday June 8 (Cambridge)
9:30-1pm - Danehy Park exercises, lunch
Inov-8 will be on site with demo shoes!
4-6pm - Sprint race at Fresh Pond Park
Evening - optional get-together at a nearby restaurant
Saturday June 9 (Boston/Newton)
10am-3pm - Millennium Park training exercises, lunch, and a race at Nahanton Park
5-7pm - Forest sprint at Cutler Park
Sunday June 10 (Boston)
9am-2pm - bracket sprint at Jamaica Pond
Like a knock-out sprint, this race will feature six short sprints, each less than 1.5km. The first race is used as a seeding race, and competitors will be subsequently divided into heats based on where they finish. Everybody runs all the races, but eventually the best sprinters will filter to the top!
