...the feeling! Bad luck. Not too gutted to miss it given what most folk thought of the area!

Aye, I'm 0 for 4 at the big individual races this year, but have been OK in the relays - what does that say? Fouling up early on or near the finish are common themes, both easily corrected (in theory!), and nearly always in vague terrain. Different navigation strategy required, methinks.

The area was what most people would call "divisive" - I thought that it was technically straightforward but physically pretty ming, very heavy going in the marshes. The planner at least gave us a long leg, which was a rare treat these days!

I do like a long leg. Was the highlight at Balmoral!
