does that make it - in the past week?

It's been a couple a day on average so I'd guess about 12. I've had busier periods (my record is 20 in 24 hours), but most of the ones this time have been relatively high-profile.

The total number of requests has dropped a bit in recent years because of the increased networking of media news - once upon a time a lot of regional radio stations and newspapers had their own newsrooms (the aforementioned record was when I'd been quoted in the morning's Courier-Mail and subsequently everyone in regional Queensland wanted to talk to me), but these days an awful lot is networked from the cities.

I notice the country hour does a lot of sharing between stations these days.

I'll be having an interview in a couple of weeks' time. It'll probably be my only one for the year.
