The 4 events from late April through May will have some forest and technical component - Black Hill and Shepherds Hill will certainly give a fitness work out in some bush, and Heathfield will include the Heathfield HS Sprint map, as will as the larger Heathfield map, and so will give some sprint training
We definitely get spoilt in Victoria - even when there isn't anything happening elsewhere, the Bendigo Saturday events are almost always available as a fallback option. (Ditto in the ACT with their Saturday events, which are primarily targeted at juniors).
It's actually 8 weeks until the next proper forest races in SA - @Flinders Ranges on the June LWE - which is a bit ridiculous. Meanwhile other states are having events in amazing granite areas...
There are only 6 bush events (9 races) in SA from now until Nationals.
We are limited by what clubs are prepared to do - if you can persuade them to do otherwise...................................
And this year because of the nationals we have probably reduced the effort especially in September (to run training events here instead), and nationals have also made some areas embargoed. Our May events are comparable with the ACT Saturday series.
