Len:
That Dirty Harry quote rattled through my mind several times Saturday as I readjusted my plan.

You chose well. It was very physical terrain. The first control (Mandatory) was 1.5 miles through wilderness over several large spurs. My GPS cut out but It took me over an hour just to get there.
Additionally, we started with a temp of about 30 (real feel of 23) and it only got to 33 by mid afternoon... it was cold. I kept my hat and gloves on all but about 1 hour.

I was trying to talk Patty and the kids into going as a team. I'm glad they didn't because I'm sure they would have bailed and if they found their way back to the car, left me in SW Pennsylvania :)
I haven't had the chance yet to debrief and jot down my notes. I did manage to hold onto my passport this time... but there's a story to that was well :)
