Discussion: Apology

I turned right out of my drive yesterday after looking left. True, the mind was elsewhere. Next thing I see is a vehicle right behind as in WTF?! Dumbfounded, blind or what, at the intersection 150 yards ahead, I turned left, pulled over, ready to try to understand what occurred & apologize if need be - but the car went the other way.

(Distractibility aside, lesson learned, better this time: know positively that there's nothing in sight (also a side road 50 yds left) or approaching vehicle is sufficiently distant and/or moving at noted speed)
