There are some plans to map FDR for some park orienteering in the near future. Do you feel safe when you run there? I may be doing some of the mapping and just wondering how cautious I have to be.

Yeah, never had any problem. Even talked with a cop about it, he said he thought it was safe for women to run alone. That said, I always carry my pepper spray when I'm running in the city. And also, I'm keeping to the main arteries - I've been back in the "woods" section with Brian a couple times, and we found a strange little hut made of sticks where someone was living. Pretty creepy.
If you do end up mapping FDR let me know! Maybe I could help! (I could at least bring the pepper spray...) ;)
