your O experience and terrain strength will pay off on the direct lines, especially across Bleaklow. If you get the map and compass out early and people go 'he looks like he knows what he's doing, I'll follow him', you can also leave a few up there!
I was a bit slow across Bleaklow this year than I'd like. Tom got a more runnable line from the edge towards the Pennine way.

I need to check the 'stay on the slabs the run due S' line to the aircraft wreck, though maybe not as obvious an AP as the within/ashop cloughs junction.
There seem to be quite a few people who can race for 2 and a bit hours, but struggle once the clock gets over 2.5.
