Discussion: Stokes Valley ridgeline access

Haven't seen that you've been in my neck of the woods lately which maybe means you already know this so are heading elsewhere but just so you don't get caught out. .. there are access restrictions on the pylon road between Kingsley st/Silverstream retreat and the top of Horoeka track until end of June (!). I think it's open after 6pm weekdays, 3pm Saturday and all day Sunday. Horoeka track is open so you still can get up there, just have to dodge those dodgy stokes Valley types getting there

Thanks. I only occasionally do the bit up the hill from the Retreat - I usually do the Horoeka Track given the choice, especially at the moment while it's a lot cooler in the bush.
