1 night out was plenty for me.
Cut your losses on the house and move, nothing worse than being stressed by your own house.

Cheers Andy. Yeah. I think you're right.

Hoping to move to Yorkshire in 2018, too. See how things pan out.

No nocturnal noises in Yorkshire. We're all fast asleep at 10pm.

...apart from when we're partying until 3am.

As you know I decided 2 nights in a row was too much. I felt run down on Saturday evening after Martin's party/SPOOK relays and was in bed by 9pm. And my immune system is probably a lot stronger than yours.

Make sure to choose the right bit of Yorkshire ;-)

Bed by 9pm Saturday? Blimey. You made up for it Sunday night / early start for work Monday tho....

Yes - 2 big nights on the trot is too much.

I'm on the mend. Liz had 2 interviews in Leeds yesterday, and has failed one of them; but the second she felt a great fit for & seemed exactly what they were looking for, so we'll see. If she's successful, Neil, I'll be in touch re. desirable Leeds areas :-) Sell a house in Bristol and buy a mansion in Leeds? http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/prope...

Could it be: Phil Murray M50 AIRE ??
M50 team 2019: Neil, Alun, me. Bronze. Behind SYO & BOK. Hang on.....

what about SYO2? ;-)

Yeah, Chapel Allerton is nice if you like restaurants and is not far from Roundhay Park, but if I got to choose again I would go somewhere along the railway to ilkley - Menston or Burley. Depends where the job is. If it's close to the station then the journey time from Burley will be less than from Chapel A.

Why are you even looking at a semi?! If we've learnt nothing it's that you can't handle living in close proximity to people you don't like.

Buy detached.

Chas:
Don't even buy until you've rented in the area.

You should move to E$POC land and then get Simon M and James out for a relay...... WAIT - HANG ON...... no. you can still be in BOK where ever you live - why would you want to leave what is currently the most successful club in the UK ;-)

My sister lived in Burley (after 10 happy years in Otley) and loved it - near railway - she took train to Leeds, her husband took train in opposite direction to Halifax.

Job news is pending (5 mins walk from Leeds central station I think). There are good chances of an offer, I hear... She'd have to sort out cat care (hint: me?), and sell up whilst working & initially renting in Leeds. It will be a huge wrench & mega hassle for her. I'd be in the slipstream of all that.

BOK is, as they say, the best club in the UK. It has to be - we've won the CSC and the UKOL in 2017! ha ha! We were also M50 British relay champions in both 2014 and 2016 (fact). EPOC would be good too, though - yes. Hmmmm. Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

EPOC M50 relay team: Simon M, Simon Bourne and James Logue. Where would Phil fit in? ;-)
Dec 8, 2017 9:19 AM #
Frostbite:
I suggest you look how many teams EPOC entered in this year's JK, British and Harvester relays. Ok I'll save you the effort. The answer is zero. No teams whatsoever in any classes in any of our major relays.

Chas:
They just need a dynamic new Team Captain.
That would also have the bonus that you can select yourself ;-)

She who makes the decisions is having a major rethink. (due to her hatred of Brexit). At this rate, it will be 2019: Phil Murray H55, ???, ESP. Quite.

EPOCspookster:
Get up North Phil, you know it is the right decision. As for relay teams you can have my place. You wouldn't see me in a relay team. I think I will stay well clear of that pressure!

philm64:
Ha! Thanks Simon. Not sure what's happening now - but I love the pressure of relays (tho NOT leg 1, ha ha!). Chas was just winding me up.

Don't need to be oop north right now, snow down here too!

Chas:
I agree with Phil; nothing like a relay to get the juices flowing!

This thread explains nicely why we've stayed in SYO despite living in EPOCland.
