kind of a big jump in training volume. so your body can handle that, because of the shift in acivity, or it has just become accustomed to that historically?

Definitely a bump in hours. XC skiing doesn't have to have the impact on your body that other exercise like running does. Early season plan is low intensity, long distance, work on technique. Intervals later on.

This has been a push on the loading just to see how much I can do. Have found now I have time I can handle more training than I would have thought. Nothing's broken or even getting more sore, so I'll keep taking advantage of the beautiful snow conditions for a couple more days.

A 23h week is impressive. You'll take a requisite amount of rest after, I hope... :)

A couple days easy and then Craftsbury on Sunday -- they're pushing snow onto the Sprint loop.
