Uncle JiM:
You need to have some time off doing parkruns, or any races. Do some training blocks on Saturday, re focus, and give it another go in 3? weeks time

I guess I haven’t been training properly so what can I expect of myself. I need to focus a bit more. Next week will be a solid week.

Maybe you need more down-time. Or for parkrun to become a cross-country course.

The bottlenecks wouldn't have helped your cause!

The zoo course isn't the fastest, so maybe you'll be faster on the other course

I am a long way behind you in time but I too am struggling. I've fallen out of love with my home parkrun. So I changed to another - which strangely has more hills and is much tougher. I got a couple of good results (for me) and feel much better now and am getting times to come down. I know I'm very lucky to have about 6 to choose from within 30 mins drive. I think I'll just change from one to another (in blocks).
