I know, yours was pretty unfortunate. But after I had been out there for 20 minutes or so and still didn't know where I was, it was certainly in my mind that I could be there another 40.
Great run -- except for where it wasn't! Your splits match mine exactly on all but the bad leg. Impressed by how you straightened yourself out and ultimately nailed the line to the control.

23 today. 22-24 is a comfortable range for me, unless I am trying to go fast. That was a change I made a few years back. Used to do a lot of my rowing around 28 or so I think if one trains at a slow cadence like that, it provides a lot of reserve for when you need to pick up the pace.
