I ran the Saturday morning event. There were a lot of inconsistencies in the south part of the map, which the controller admitted should've been remapped (we didn't use the north part - you may have). At least I had the comfort of being able to see where I was going :-)

The worst part of it is that route selection becomes a bit of a lottery. Sometimes going straight is quite possible and much faster than going around, so choosing to go around can lose one a lot of time by being safe. Also, one kinda assumes that when the vegetation has a lot of detail on the map, it actually means the mapper took care to make it precise. E.g. if a whole area is mapped without detail, at least one understands that the detail seen on the terrain should not be attempted to be found on the map and one does not then try to use (the unmapped) map detail for navigation. So, very difficult to adjust to during running. That said, I am not blaming my result on the mapper - I have made plenty of mistakes that I shouldn't have.

Questionable map but you just have to adjust and trust your compass and forget about vegetation changes.
You are right about the lottery of run-ability but I always think that unless it is mapped as green 3, then it is passable albeit a little slower.
