The Juniors would like to thank everyone that supported them last weekend at the US Champs. Thanks to all of you we were able to raise $1,094.50 for the junior team fund, the best two day concession stand yet for the juniors. We raised a little more than $1,000 a few years back at West Point for the College O fund but never this much for the juniors. A special thanks goes out to Denny and Bruce for manning the stand on sunday when we were not suppose to have one. The sales on sunday definitely helped the cause and truly helped the hungry orienteers that were looking for the food. Have a good winter break and see you in the spring!

Thank you Janet, Denny, Bruce and all the others who helped provide sustenance in the woods. That little grill was really working as hard as it could, pumping out those hamburgers. I hope the crate of apples and pears we contributed on Saturday morning helped add to those revenues, and provide a healthy addition to the menu.

The Juniors contributed a bunch to making Saturday and Sunday nicer. I'm very glad that it was a financial success too.

Yes, I had two of the tastiest cheeseburgers ever delivered to me on Saturday. And, on Sunday, I was fed a bonus cheeseburger by Roger. I was never so thrilled to hear that the concession was open another day!

Mee too! Starting at the end of the start window both days, I was disappointed to find the food stand closed down when I finished on Saturday with a raging appetite. (I was running low on fuel out on the course and actually stooped to sucking leftover Gu out of packets others had dropped at the water control. A bit disgusting but it got me to the finish. Thank you to whoever it was who only ate about 2/3 of yours!)

On Sunday I got there just in time to get the very last cheesburger, though I nearly had to arm-wrestle donkst for it.

And thanks to the many juniors who worked at the stand - I was served by Meg and Ben Parson, Hunter Cornish, Erin Schirm - and I know there were many more!
