If they're anything like primary schools in WA, they'll all say no anyway. Of the ten that I asked for summer series locations for our upcoming season, only two granted us access - one of those had been arranged prior (we mapped their school and made a deal to use the school for a cheaper rate) and the other one is where our O shed is located. All this despite Education Department policy stating that schools must be made available for community use!

Coincidentally the WA state election this year was the same day as the 6hr rogaine back in March. I was working (one of the sole days in a six week block that I've been gainfully employed this year) so missed the event.

Even the Catholic schools? We've found that getting them to "do" the catering is a great incentive and I've now "found" some Scout Halls that will be in very useful areas.

Scout halls around Adelaide are tiny. And footy clubs will have cricket matches at that time of year. But we're on to a winner with the netball venue that has 12 courts and parking for 500 people!

If you tell people it is polling booth and put on a free sausage sizzle then maybe you will overflow the car park!
