Discussion: Silent Auction! ...is over, thanks!

A Silent Auction to benefit the University Team going to the World University Champs will start with on line bidding and end at the US Classic Champs on November 11. If you would like to donate an item to the auction you should start by sending me a picture wornerkohn at gmail so I can post it on line. Then bring the item to the meet!
If you aren't attending but still want to donate an item just send the picture, we'll work out how it's going to get to the person who bids on it.

Best way: CASH at the meet,

2nd Best but still excellent: check made out to "OrienteeringUSA" specifying "University Team"...bring it to the meet or mail in to LKohn, 874 Edgemere Dr., Rochester, NY 14612.

Next Best: use the paypal donation button on the OUSA website (this does cost us a bit so some of your donation goes to paypal :^(

not a very silent silent auction. eh?

It is still silent, no one talking, just writing, like in real auctions ;) And no one is yelling it out digitally. And opening the thread is like strolling past the table of the things you are interested in..... Seeing the thread and deciding to open and read it is like seeing someone stroll by your item of interest and then writing something on the paper.... Have been at PTA auctions where there were groups of people keeping an eye on things for friends, watching some thinks like (silent) hawks.....

I note the entry fee for the ski-O relay is per team. Is the silent auction for the individual events only or is one relay team entry included as well?

Sure, the bid will cover the relay team entry. But your partner will have to pay for their own World Masters entry.
