Similar problem at SiS. Once again I may have been the culprit. When Ian synched my controls, I noticed that they had the wrong time in it. Luckily, all the other controls being used, also had non Daylight Saving time, so problem was adverted before we started. Just had to run the computers on Non DST, so as to not muck up the O Lynx results

I wasn't pointing fingers. Anyway, all reprogramming and synching now done. My result remains a mystery.
Next week will be interesting. I will try and run a hagaby as enter on the day. Expect will have to allocate courses after the event. SiS will mean a relatively small turnup so might even be able to allocate courses to runners whilst they are on the course.

One year, I ran the Sprint at the ToDay as a Hagaby, asked all entrants to tell me their course combination, when coming in to download at the finish, I allocated there course, then got them to download

Might have to try that. I am hoping eventor lets people enter with course combination beforehand, and then only OE actually needs class. That way they can enter using course on map before race and then I add the link to class before they download.

Toph used something at the Night Champs, might have been O Lynx results. He used another download unit, PPL used this as a preliminary download/entry, it read the course combination, and allocated it, then you downloaded, and all was okie dokie

Reverse issue at the recent Vic middle.synced all the controls before putting them out, but the master had been set to DST last summer and not reset at the end of DST, so controls were all an hour out. Early starters had a split of 60+ minutes on the first leg. Had to quickly adjust all the start times by an hour in the computer.
Lesson was that yes sync the controls before putting them out, but also check the master, and adjust it at the start and end of DST

Maybe not bother with DST. ? I suspect the only time out will be the computer and I cannot see that making a difference. Have I missed something?

No problems for the Computer running OE. Issue will be the computer running O Lynx Results, just need to put that computer on Non DST.

O-lynx touch Neil. plug a second download box into the o-lynx touch tablet and assign it to the download unit - on the advanced tab of the settings. When a competitor comes in they must first use that download box then the normal OE download box. I've used it at the last 2 night champs. This year it assigned all courses last year it missed 1 variations out of the 4 I think. So I just had to manually assign that.

as for daylight saving time. Just change it. Controls should be re-synced regularly anyway so twice a year shouldn't be too hard. As long as the masters are updated there shouldn't be a problem.

Perhaps this is why West Aussies have voted against DST on three occasions - because it messes up orienteering software.
