I'm being too lazy to go buy anti-histamines, so I guess it's my own fault.

well, they were in and out under the eves, so I squirted in some powder to kill them off. Seemingly the nest must have been in the wall cavity so they found an alternative way out from behind the window sill and into the house. They were all groggy and dying, but still life enough to sting when trodden on.
