It seems like the second weekend in September works well for this event.
It doesn't conflict with various Labor Day orienteering festivals (and it's after COC/NAOC), most locals are back in town, most colleges and universities are still on break, making permitting for those venues easier, and the weather is usually fantastic.
Since we're a year out, venues are still TBD. Don't expect brand new maps at every race, though. You guys were spoiled this year.
It's in my calendar... Hopefully no one rudely schedules a wedding on this weekend next year!
Who would plan a wedding on the second weekend in September?!?
(yes, the bracket master and finish chief direct a big orienteering race on their anniversary weekend)
Hey if you can plan and pull of such a fantastic event together you have a marriage worth celebrating with all your orienteering friends every year haha
And the birthday of your finish chief also often falls on Sprint Camp... So apparently we just like to celebrate your family events with Sprint weekends! Not the most terrible of circumstances
