Sorry to hear you're stepping down...
Too much on your plate?
Yeah, I've been feeling spread a bit too thin for a while, but the final straw was Alli's Lyme diagnosis, which made my availability at home on weeknights even more crucial. This made it hard to commit to scheduled things, and so I am limiting myself to activities I can do late at night or at other times (such as the e-newsletter and such).
Oh, goodness, that's no good. I hope Alli's recovery is swift and as uncomplicated as possible. Thinking of all of you!
To complicate matters, our darling daughter has decided to go through her 8 month sleep regression right now, too. Reading up on sleep training options... never thought I'd go there. :(
That was such a hard phase for us... We were struggling so much. But, today, Forest sleeps (almost) like a champ! There is a light, even if it doesn't look like it.
Hope you (Alli) feel better.
If you find anything that works, let me know! K is starting to have separation anxiety in the middle of the night, and won't sleep unless one of us is holding her. Doubly rough when you're not feeling well, too! Hope you get better soon, Alli!
Oh, no. Hang in there, it does get better! When we stopped bringing Anna to bed with us in the middle of the night, she yelled vociferously for 2 nights, then started sleeping through the night. It was really, really hard to do for those 2 nights, though. I felt even worse when I realized the weekend we chose to do this was when she was cutting a few teeth. But we all slept better after that.
Exactly! It is like pulling off a Band Aid. Actually, slightly worse, but still necessary for everyone's sake.
May I never be forced to use a Band Aid in j-man's house.
