I'd be interested in seeing the new map. The old one was of a pretty small area with a pretty inconvenient shape, and although it was nicely drafted, and looked promising, the fieldwork was in fact terrible. I don't believe I ever ran there, but I did set courses there once. Interesting that it's still taking people a very long time. I do remember it as low visibility and slow going.

On top of whatever you remember, there's also now tons of deadfall from pine beetles.

I never orienteered on the original map (we haven't used it since I joined the club in 2000 / 2001), and I think the original map has now been expanded onto adjacent USFS & private property.

Sharon took 4+ hours on Red, if that gives you an idea of what the course was like. :-|
