A few weeks my family watched this video when we stumbled across it while being featured on Red Bull TV. Looks like it is officially released now. It is well done.
It's accessible to non-orienteers, but shows competitive orienteering (well), rather than the more common wayfarers, or just shots of competitive orienteers punching or finishing. Overlaying the contours on the terrain was nice, as were the various aerial shots and the point of view shot, and discussing mistakes. Nice mountain view in the end. I wonder how this could be leveraged for promotion.
And here is Puresive Films' latest video of Red Bull's Alptitude race. Puresive gets my vote as the top producer of orienteering promo and race videos.
I posted the Judith Wyder video to the Suncoast Orienteering Facebook page as well as to my personal facebook page. My non-orienteering friends are starting to see the pull of the sport and the value of orienteering beyond just exploring nature and learning land navigation.
I suggest you might want to do the same and circulate the video far and wide. Send Judith viral!!
