Pink Socks:
There are quite a few squirrels on the golf course, and today I came across one just laying splayed out in the grass under a tree while several others were frolicking about. It wasn't that far from me, so I decided to investigate, and it slowly got up and wobbled towards the nearest tree and slowly started climbing it. It seemed labored by the ordeal, so I backed away. It looked pretty fat, so perhaps it was pregnant? But it was about to give birth, I don't understand why it wasn't in a nest somewhere and not out on the grass.

They're getting chubby for the autumn/winter

This one was significantly chubbier than all of the others, and behaving weirdly, just laying there. If it's winter prep, seems like all of them would getting chubby.

you ran over a squirrel?!? yuck. I've killed a chipmunk on rollerskis by mistake, once. It tried to run underneath. It didn't fit.

Impressive, a chipmunk's an even tougher target than a squirrel! Though rollerskis require less precision than a bike tire. Call it even.
