DVOA has an O map of part of the north/west side of the lake. I was curious why I had not heard of the Gnome Home. Not sure if it was there when the map was made but even so on it's on the other side of the lake and the only times I've been to the park is to help at O events. It's a very old map so likely the trails aren't very up-to-date on the side we do have mapped in any case. I wonder how much effort it would take to remap what we do have to be usable for sprints. Does the side with Gnome Home look usable for orienteering? I remember the park as really green.

The park is pretty green in areas; open in others. The part along the Jay Walk trail between the lake and the fire road is pretty open but only usable for white courses. When we drove down the north side a month or so ago it was pretty much the same. There might be some good open terrain scattered here and there, though.
