I looked at the photos of Dunnottar and thought, we've been there, and in fact we have. Sprung for the entry fee, very much enjoyed it, all except for the climb back up the hill.

We went to Dunnottar when we were in Scotland for the 2013 6 Days ... we all thought it was well-worth the entry fee. Pretty cool ruins.
Still looks pretty interesting from the outside, too.

I would have gone into the castle, too, but as I advanced towards the portcullis/admissions point, there were a couple of guards dressed in medieval armor and armed with gleaming sharp lances and such who stiffened up as they saw me draw close. They looked like they could have been straight out of GoT. One of them yelled at me: "Halt, ye swine! Take one step closer and we will cut you into little McBitties!"

It was the part about being called a swine that I objected to, and I didn't go in.

You probably would have been required to disclose the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow, anyway.
