Also, HOW did you get road runners to come orienteering? We've had very little success with that, over the years.
We just keep plugging away at them Jenny. We had a few who came to the 3 Days and did EOD. There is also one roadie who used to come orienteering some years ago who has started to come back and he has been promoting it for us as well.
I think it is a function of a close society. See faces you recognise, have something in common etc. they do it, I might check it out.
golfer - sorry you missed our event - good maps and people commented on the lovely bush, but pleased it was a "productive" weekend after all for you and club.
I have to add that our "road" runners don't actually run on many roads anymore, mainly due to police and council restrictions. 90% or more is now trail running which I guess is a bit closer to orienteering.
Tinytoes, we were disappointed to miss the events but I just wasn't up to the travelling and 3 nights in our camper trailer!
